Southern EcoCover’s IPEMA Certified Playground EWF Mulch is a certified product made entirely from virgin wood fiber. This natural material and its specialty process of unique shredding is specifically chosen for playground and pathway applications due to making it a safe and long-lasting choice for outdoor environments.
Calculating Material Requirements
To determine the amount of surface space needed, it is necessary to know the measurements of the play area as well as details regarding the number and scale of playground equipment located within the area. Special attention should be paid to areas of high wear within the playground, as these spots may require additional material over time. Ongoing monitoring is recommended so that more surfacing can be added as settlement and usage dictate.
Certifications and Compliance
The Southern EcoCover (SEC) playground surfacing material specified in this plan is IPEMA-certified. Its use and layout comply with all relevant standards, including:
ASTM F1292-22, ASTM F2075-20, and ASTM F3351-19e1.
